Shox Lumania was a new-wave/punk band based in New York City, known for their theatrical performances that emphasized choreography and costume as much as music. Their album "Live At The Peppermint Lounge" became one of the first releases on the innovative ROIR label. The band was a favorite in the New York City scene, often hosting notable artists such as Klaus Nomi, Siouxsie Sioux, David Bowie, and Devo in their dressing rooms.
