Shushā (Shamsi) Guppy, born Shamsi Assār on December 24, 1935, in Tehran, Iran, was a multifaceted artist known for her work as a writer, editor, actress, and singer. She performed under the name "Shusha," specializing in Persian and Western folk songs. Her first album was produced while she was a student in France in the late 1950s, and it was released under the name Chucha Assar. Shushā passed away on March 21, 2008, in London, United Kingdom.
