Shut Up & Dance is an English music duo and DJ group consisting of Carlton Hyman and Philip Johnson. Initially, they were rappers on the sound system called Heatwave, where they sought a record deal. After facing rejections from various record labels, they decided to establish their own label, Shut Up and Dance Music. The original Heatwave group in 1986 included four members: Smiley, PJ, and others.
