Sieben is a neofolk project based in Sheffield, England, UK. It was originally formed in 1997 as a trio consisting of Matt Howden, Jane Howden, and Sally Doherty. Over time, it evolved into a solo project led by Matt Howden, who has been the primary member since its inception, contributing violin and vocals. Jane Howden was part of the group from 1997 to 2000, providing vocals and bass, while Sally Doherty contributed vocals and flute from 1997 to 1999.
