The Silhouettes were a doo-wop and soul group from Philadelphia, renowned for their hit song "Get A Job," which they wrote and recorded in 1957, reaching number one on both the R&B and pop charts in 1958. The original lineup included Bill Horton (lead), Raymond Edwards (bass), Earl Beal (baritone), and Richard Lewis (tenor), all active from 1956 to 1961 and later reuniting from 1980 to 1993. John Wilson and Cornelius Brown joined the group as lead and bass, respectively, from 1961 to 1968.
