Silkworm is a US indie rock band that originated in Missoula in 1987. The band relocated to Seattle in 1990 and continued to perform until the tragic death of drummer Michael Dahlquist in 2005. In 2024, the band reunited for a memorial for Dahlquist and decided to continue playing shows into 2025. The current lineup includes Andy Cohen on guitar, Tim Midgett on bass, Joel R. L. Phelps, who played guitar from 1987 to 1994 and returned in 2024, and Jeff Panall on drums, who joined in 2024. Former members include Matt Kadane on keys from 2002 to 2005 and Michael Dahlquist on drums from 1991 until his passing in 2005.
