Silvio Caldas (May 23, 1908 - February 3, 1998) was a renowned Brazilian singer and composer from Rio de Janeiro. He gained initial fame with the samba "Faceira," written by Ari Barroso, in 1931. Caldas established himself as one of Brazil's greatest singers, with "Chão de Estrelas," a collaboration with Orestes Barbosa in 1937, being one of his most significant hits. Known for his distinctive voice, he earned affectionate nicknames such as "Caboclinho Querido," "A Voz Morena da Cidade," and "Titio."
