Simon Raven was a British rock/mod band formed in April 1965. All band members were previously active in the music scene. The name was changed to “Simon Raven Cult” during the summer of 1965, inspired by a best-selling author. The band recorded one single before Geoffrey Glover-Wright, also known as "Simon Raven," relocated back to Jersey until the end of 1979, during which time the name was slightly altered to Simon Raverne. The lineup of Simon Raven Cult #1 (September - Late 1965) included Geoffrey Glover-Wright on lead vocals and guitar, Nick Simper on bass, Tony Lost on keyboards, and Roger Pinah on drums. In the second iteration, Simon Raven Cult #2 (Late 1965 - April 1966), the band retained Glover-Wright, with Brad ?? on bass, Lost on keyboards, and Pinah on drums. Transitioning to Simon Raverne #1 (1967 - 1968), the lineup featured Glover-Wright, Brad ?? on bass, Nick Simper on bass, and Pinah on drums. In Simon Raverne #2 (1968 - 1969), Glover-Wright was joined by Alan James, known as "Rowell," on bass and Eddie Thorpe on drums. The final phase, Simon Raverne #3 in the 1970s, saw Glover-Wright on lead vocals and keyboards, Richard Melhu
