Simon Raymonde is a producer, composer, and musician born on April 3, 1962, in Lewisham, England. He is the son of composer Ivor Raymonde. Simon began his career playing bass for a London-based band and later became known for his exceptional skills as a bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and co-producer with the renowned band Cocteau Twins. In 1997, he released his self-produced debut solo album to wide critical acclaim. He has since maintained a successful production career, co-founding the label Bella Union in 1997 with fellow Cocteau Twins member. Throughout his career, he has produced, written, and performed with various artists. In 2017, he formed a new band with members from another band, releasing the debut album Ojalá, followed by the second LP In Quiet Moments in 2021, which he produced and mixed.
