Singers & Players were the first iteration of a diverse collective comprising 15 to 20 vocalists, musicians, and DJs who formed the foundation of On-U Sound label. This vibrant group included Punks, Rastas, Rebels, Rockers, Instrumentalists, and Experimentalists, many of whom were also part of other notable groups such as Dub Syndicate, Creation Rebel, African Headcharge, Playgroup, and New Age Steppers. Among the memorable members of Singers & Players were Prince Far I, Bim Sherman, Mikey Dread, Style Scott, Bruce Smith, Jah Woosh, Ari-Up, and Congo Ashanti Roy.
