Sir Douglas Quintet was an American rock band active from 1964 to 1999, known for their distinctive Tex-Mex sound despite their British-sounding name. Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, the band featured a familiar lineup that included Sir Douglas on lead vocals and various instruments, Augie Meyers on organ and vocals, Frank Morin on sax and keyboards, Harvey Kagan on bass, and Johnny Perez on drums. Over the years, the band saw numerous spinoffs and included a variety of other musicians such as Doug "Cosmo" Clifford, Jack Barber, Alvin Crow, Louie Ortega, Rocky Morales, John "X" Reed, Clay Meyers, Shawn Sahm, Martin Fierro, Bobby Black, Ernie Durawa, Mike Buck, Jon Blondell, and Speedy Sparks among many others.
