Sir Guy, born Clarence Barron, was a soul artist active during the 1960s and 1970s, hailing from Norfolk, Virginia. He began his musical journey in the Berkley section of Norfolk with a group known as The Visions. Barron passed away on June 15, 2010, at his home in Aiken, South Carolina.
