Sixtoo is the main alias of Canadian music artist Robert Squire, born in January 1978. Emerging from the mid-1990s underground hip-hop movement, he shared stages with various notable acts and members of the Anticon crew. In the summer of 2009, a break-in at the Weaponshouse compound resulted in the theft of a hard drive and backup hard drive, which contained unreleased Sixtoo recordings, session stems, sample kits, loops, and 15 years' worth of archive material, leading to the official closure of the Sixtoo project. In 2000, Rob Squire relocated to Vancouver, where he ran the Catalog Gallery and shifted his musical style towards Synth Pop. Prior to this, he operated a recording and production studio that included a mastering section.
