Skardas is an experimental electronic music artist from Lithuania, known for his debut full-length album, Neocron, released in 2003 on the alternative label Dangus. This album is recognized as the first officially released CD of new Lithuanian electronica, featuring dark, cold, and abrasive sounds that approach heavy alternative rock in intensity, while also being spacious, luminous, and deeply immersive. Despite his distaste for publicity, Skardas has made a significant impact on the Lithuanian electronic music scene through his hard work in the studio, often at night. In addition to his work as Skardas, he also creates introspective minimal soundscapes and plastic IDM rhythms under the aliases Aplink and Atagal.
