Skepta is a British rapper, songwriter, producer, music video director, and artist, born on September 19, 1982, in London. He originally started as a DJ in the Tottenham-based grime collective, Meridian Crew, and began MC-ing shortly before the group disbanded in 2005. Following this, he and his brother joined a collective for a short period before becoming founding members of another group. Skepta is the older brother of Jamie Adenuga, also known as a rapper, and has a sister. He runs a music label with his brother.
