Skorpio is a Hungarian rock band formed in 1973, recognized as the third supergroup in Hungary after Locomotiv GT and Taurus. The band consists of members who previously achieved fame in well-known bands: Károly Frenreisz, the singer-bass guitarist from Metro and LGT; Gábor Antal Szűcs, the singer-guitarist; Gábor Fekete, the drummer from Hungária; and Gyula Papp, the organist from Mini. Initially, Frenreisz envisioned a trio formation similar to Emerson, Lake & Palmer but later decided to add a guitarist. Their debut album, A rohanás, was released in 1974, followed by their second album, Ünnepnap, in 1976. The album Rohanás sold over 300,000 copies and was ranked fourth among the top ten Hungarian rock albums of all time. The band has also made several radio and television recordings and contributed to Sarolta Zalatnay's album.
