Skullflower is a noise rock band that originated in London in 1987. They began as an improvisational group and made their debut in 1988 with a self-titled EP on Broken Flag. Throughout the 1990s, Skullflower released several noise and psychedelic rock albums, with guitarist Matthew Bower and drummer being the only consistent members during that period. The band went on hiatus after their 1996 release. In 2003, Skullflower made a comeback, sometimes functioning as a solo project for Matthew Bower and occasionally collaborating with other members.
