Slapbak is a funk group based in Orange County, California, that has been active since the early '90s. The band has toured as a support act for Snoop Dogg and has seen various lineups over the years, including Jara Harris's sisters, Janine and Julie Harris, and his brother, J-Roc. The current lineup features Jara Harris (vocals, bass, drums, guitar, keyboards), TJ Quake (rap, vocals, percussion), Shelldogg (guitar), Lil J (drums), and Jesse Hunter (guitar, keyboards). Previous members include Kookie (female singer/vocalist), DJ Ruffnek (DJ, percussion, vocals), P-Funk (keyboards, trumpet), and Yo-Hey (guitar).
