Slim Gaillard was an American jazz singer, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist, born on January 9, 1911, in Detroit, Michigan. He was renowned for his vocalese singing and clever wordplay, even creating his own language called Vout. He passed away on February 26, 1991, in London, England. Slim Gaillard's daughter, Janis Hunter, is the ex-wife of a notable figure and the mother of an actress and singer. He was married but later divorced.
