**Slovenly Bio** Slovenly was a band formed in Manhattan Beach, CA, in 1980, and they remained active until 1992. The group initially consisted of members who attended Mira Costa High School, including Scott Ziegler, Tom Watson, Steve Anderson, Tim Plowman, and drummer Bruce Lossen. They started their musical journey in the summer of 1980, jamming at SST Records and at Watson's house. After a brief hiatus, during which Watson and Plowman studied in the Netherlands, the band resumed playing, dropping the "Peter" from their name and evolving into a semi-improvised experimental rock group. As time went on, Bruce Lossen left the band, and Rob Holzman, formerly of Saccharine Trust, joined. Lynn Johnston became a more integral member of the group during this period. From 1988 to 1991, the band was less active as members pursued other interests, with Watson and Holzman relocating to L.A. They reunited to produce an EP and a final album before disbanding, with Ziegler also returning to L.A. The band had plans for a sixth album in Germany, with artwork contributions from a notable artist.
