Smif N Wessun is a Brooklyn-based hip-hop group consisting of members Tek and Steele. They hail from the Bedford Stuyvesant "Bucktown" section of Brooklyn and are part of the Boot Camp Clique. The group first gained recognition by appearing on Black Moon's classic debut album, "Enta Da Stage," contributing to tracks like "U Da Man" and the iconic "Black Smif-N-Wessun." After releasing their debut LP, "Dah Shinin'," they encountered legal issues with the gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson Firearms, leading them to change their name to the Cocoa Brovaz.
