So Solid Crew is a UK garage and hip hop collective hailing from Battersea, South London. They gained prominence through their performances on the pirate radio station Delight FM, particularly during their 'So Solid Sundays' shows. This period marked a significant influence on the development of the darker side of UK garage, which later evolved into grime. The collective's first single, "Oh No," was released in 2000, and they achieved mainstream success with their hit "21 Seconds," which reached number one on the UK charts, along with "They Don't Know" at number three, and "Haters" at number eight. These tracks were featured on their debut album, "They Don't Know," released in October 2001, which peaked at number six in the UK album charts. Their second album, "2nd Verse," was released in September 2003. Various members of So Solid Crew have also found solo success and produced for other artists, and the group continued to tour as recently as 2013.
