Soare Staniol is a Bucharest-based musical quintet known for their unique sound that blends spoken word poetry with acoustic instruments and electronics. Formed in 2014, the group has garnered a cult following, captivating audiences with their immersive experiences. The band is fronted by Maria Balabas, a classically trained musician and radio personality. The lineup includes visionary electronic producer Sorin Paun, accomplished musician Mihai Balabas, veteran experimental woodwinds musician Calin Torsan, and versatile violinist Marina Pingulescu. Their music is characterized by a nostalgic yet futuristic film noir aesthetic.
