**Bio: SOLID STATE** In late 1994, Dextrous teamed up with two other artists, Paul and Jon, known as 'Phaze 3' and 'Klass A,' whom he met while DJing on the London pirate station 'Kool FM.' They shared a vision for a more musical approach to Drum'n'Bass production, which led Dextrous to establish 'State of the Art Recordings.' This label aimed to release music that transcended the limitations imposed by mainstream club DJs, fostering greater freedom of expression and reaching a broader audience. Together, they formed the group 'Solid State' and coined the term 'Urban Fusion' to describe their sound, which blended elements of Funk, Jazz, Techno, Dub, and Drum'n'Bass. However, by the summer of 2000, the trio parted ways, with their final collaboration being the album "Point Of No Return," released on the 'Renegade Recordings' label.
