Soltera is the experimental dance music project of Colombian American artist Tania Ordoñez, based in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, Ordoñez was inspired by the vibrant backyard shows in her community. She began producing music in 2018 using borrowed synthesizers and drum machines, developing her unique sound that blends elements of techno, house, and punk. Through Soltera, Ordoñez aims to create a cathartic experience for people to come together, dance, and let go. In addition to her music, she is a filmmaker, DJ, and co-runs the underground LA-based collective, Casa/Teca.
