Somadrone, whose real name is unknown, began documenting home recordings around 1997 using an old tape machine and a 4-track recorder. By incorporating electronic drum beats and keyboards into previous guitar sessions, he created a 10" EP that marked the beginning of his musical journey. Released in 1999 on Mango Music, this EP featured 100 copies of ambient Moog synthesizer recordings and electro-pop tracks. During this period, Somadrone was also involved in various other projects, including The Connect Four Orchestra, Redneck Manifesto, Jape, and Goodtime John. His live performances evolved to include additional instruments such as vibraphone, viola, and cello. In 2005, he released 'Fuzzing away To A Whisper,' a collection of recordings produced over four years, showcasing a range of styles from electro-acoustic pieces to electronic pop music. This recording became available in record stores and online as a mail order CD or digital download starting October 22, 2005.
