Sonic Rendezvous Band was a rock band based in Ann Arbor, active from 1974 to 1980. Often referred to as a rock "super group," they were known for having members who previously played in legendary Detroit rock bands. During their existence, they released just one single. The band is also known by the names Sonic's Rendez Vous Band and Sonic's Rendezvous. The lineup included Fred Sonic Smith on guitar and vocals, Gary Rasmussen on bass and vocals from 1976 to 1980, Ron Cooke on bass and vocals from 1974 to 1975, Scott "Rock Action" Asheton on drums, and Scott Morgan on vocals and guitar.
