Sonora Altepexana is a musical group that has been active for forty-five years, guided by the Avelino family. They have successfully brought their music to various locations across Mexico and the United States. The group was formed by cousins and brothers of the Avelino López Family, united by their love for music. They chose to define their sound with Sonora orchestration and named the group Sonora Altepexana in homage to their birthplace, San Francisco Altepexi, located in the Southeast of Puebla in the Tehuacán region.
