Sonora Dinamita is a Colombian cumbia group that was formed in Cartagena de Indias in 1960, initially featuring Lucho Argaín as the singer. The group went inactive for a period before being reactivated in 1975 by "Fruko," who currently holds the rights to the original name. Due to the group's popularity, various Mexican groups have emerged with different members, which should not be confused with the following: La Original Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín y Xiu García, Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín, and Sonora Dinamita de Lucho Argaín y Elsa López.
