Soul Supreme, born David Åström in 1983, is a Swedish hip hop producer known for his work with renowned artists such as KRS-One, Pete Rock, and Big Daddy Kane. He released his debut album, "The Saturday Night Agenda," in 2003 under the name Soul Supreme on Grit Records, featuring collaborations with notable figures like KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, and O.C. Later that year, he produced the mixtape "Soulmatic," a remixed version of Nas's classic album "Stillmatic," which was distributed through hiphopsite.com. In 2004, he followed up with another remix mixtape, "Soul & Sense," which included remixes of early Common material, and in 2005, this project was released as a CD titled “Uncommonly Nasty: Remixed By Soul Supreme & Statik Selektah.” His production style is characterized by the use of pitched-up soul samples, earning him recognition in URB Magazine’s list of the next 100 producers in 2006. Soul Supreme is signed to JuJu Publishing and also produces electro-themed music, referred to as rapclash, under the alias Kocky. In 2007, he released an electro-house album titled "Kingdome Come" under this alias, featuring guest appearances by Timbuktu, Chords, Mapei, and Jens Lekman.
