Speedy J, born on August 10, 1969, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is an electronic music producer known for his innovative contributions to the genre. He began his career with two albums of electronic listening music released on the Warp label before exploring more experimental sounds in 1997 and 2000. His 2002 album, Loudboxer, marked a return to a minimal techno style. Speedy J has collaborated with Mike Paradinas on the project Slag Boom Van Loon and has released two ambient albums under his real name for the FAX +49-69/450464 label. In 2008, he established his own record label, Electric Deluxe, which features his music as well as releases from artists like Terence Fixmer, Gary Beck, and Tommy Four Seven.
