Annie Clark, known professionally as St. Vincent, was born on September 28, 1982, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. She is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who began learning guitar at the age of 12, inspired by her uncle, who is part of a jazz duo. Clark is proficient in playing various instruments, including piano, organ, drums, bass guitar, theremin, and vibraphone. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with and toured alongside several artists. In 2013, she received the Smithsonian American Ingenuity Award, and in 2014, she performed with the remaining members of a notable band during their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. St. Vincent won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2015.
