Stacy Lattisaw is an R'n'B, dance, and pop singer born on November 25, 1966, in Washington, D.C., U.S. She released ten albums between 1979 and 1990, with seven albums at one label and three at another, before retiring from the pop industry to focus on gospel music. Lattisaw recorded her debut album at the age of 12, produced by an unnamed producer. From her second to sixth albums, another producer was at the helm, while a variety of producers worked on her seventh album and beyond. She released a full album of duets with Johnny Gill in 1986 and collaborated on two additional singles with him in 1989. Lattisaw achieved crossover success with hits such as "Jump To The Beat," which reached No. 3 in the U.K. and No. 1 on the U.S. Hot Dance chart. Her notable R'n'B chart hits include "Dynamite" (No. 8, 1980), "Let Me Be Your Angel" (No. 8, 1980), her cover of the classic "Love On A Two Way Street" (No. 2, 1981), and "Don't Throw It All Away" (No. 9, 1982).
