The Stalk-Forrest Group was a precursor to the band Blue Öyster Cult, featuring the same lineup except for bassist Andy Winters. They recorded one album in 1970, but their label chose not to release it. The group changed their name to Blue Öyster Cult the following year, replacing Winters with Joe Bouchard. The album was eventually officially released in 2001.
