Steve Pickton, known by his stage name Stasis, emerged on the UK music scene with a release on B12 Records. He has since produced a variety of 12''s and albums under several aliases, including Paul W. Teebrooke, Phenomyna, and The Otherworld Collective, while also managing his own Otherworld label. His music is characterized by a dreamy, melodic, and melancholic yet powerful sound, blending Detroit-influenced beat patterns and basslines with beautiful string sounds. In 1994, he released his debut album, 'Inspiration,' followed by 'From The Old To The New' in 1996, during which he shifted towards a more alternative sound, incorporating diverse styles and influences into his work. Fans can expect more from Mr. Pickton in 2004.
