Statik Sound System is a musical group that formed in the early part of 1994, emerging from members who had previously participated in various noise, dub, and breakbeat acts. They quickly became a prominent act in Bristol's music scene. Over their career, Statik Sound System produced two albums, a remix album, and six singles/EPs, and they contributed to numerous compilation albums. Their music was remixed by notable artists including Mr. Scruff, Cut La Roc, Spring Heel Jack, Smith and Mighty, More Rockers, The Egg, Tao, Ian Simmonds, and The Bullitnuts. They toured globally, sharing the stage with a diverse range of bands such as Spiritualized, Black Francis, Receiver, and Smith and Mighty. After establishing a studio in 1998, they released their final album in 2001.
