Statues In Motion was formed in the summer of 1981 by Vasilis Paleokostas and Giorgos Dalambiras, following the disbandment of Parthenogenesis. The band collaborated with their close friend Ilias Mitsakis, who wrote lyrics in English for their original tracks. Although recordings for their album were completed by mid-1982, financial disputes prevented its release at that time. Statues In Motion performed live only once on June 12, 1983. Shortly after this concert, Paleokostas left Greece, leading to the group's breakup. Their sole album was eventually released in December 1983.
