Stefano Marcucci was born in Rome on June 10, 1947. He has been a member of various bands, including the Ancients (with Manuel De Sica, Bruno Biriaco, and Federico D'Andrea) and Myosotis (with Federico D'Andrea). Marcucci has produced progressive music LPs such as "Profondità" (with Paolo Casa and Paolo Ferrara), "Tempo di demoni, papi, angioli incensi e cilici," "Tabarin" (with Paolo Casa and Paolo Ferrara), "Cimbelino," "La storia di Zazà" (for Milva), "Cantautore per forza" (for Renzo Arbore), "Il fantasma dell'Opera," and "Piccole donne: il musical." He has composed music for over 200 theatrical performances staged in both Italian and foreign theaters, collaborating with notable directors like Luigi Squarzina, Franco Brusati, Giorgio Albertazzi, Gabriele Lavia, Vittorio Gassman, and Irene Papas. Additionally, he has written songs for artists such as Renzo Arbore, Milva, Mauritius Micheli, and the satirical trio of Marchesini, Lopez, and Solenghi. In television and radio, Marcucci has created music for musicals, dramas, and variety shows, often participating directly in running programs.
