Stephanie Mills is an American Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Disco, and Gospel singer and songwriter, born on March 22, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career in 1966 with a role in the Broadway play "Maggy Flynn." In 1973, Mills signed to a label and released her first single. Her portrayal of Dorothy in "The Wiz" catapulted her to stardom. Throughout her career, she has worked with various producers and has dueted with other artists, including on the song "Two Hearts" in 1981.
