Stereo Shoestring was a 1960s garage band hailing from Corpus Christi, Texas. The band released one single in 1968, featuring an A-side titled "On the Road South," which was a re-working of "Defecting Grey," and a B-side cover of "Tell Her No." The members of the band included James Coco on vocals, Jim Howard on lead guitar, Richard Lalor on guitar, James Noe on bass, and Steve Schultz on drums.
