Stockholm Monsters was a band from Burnage, Manchester, formed in the summer of 1980. The core lineup consisted of vocalist Tony France, bassist Ged Duffy, and drummer Shan Hira. The band's name is a blend of David Bowie's then-current album "Scary Monsters" and a pleasant-sounding Eurocity. Other members included Lita Hira on keyboards, Lindsay Anderson on trumpet, Karl France, and John Rhodes. They signed to Factory Records and had several releases produced by the label. The band disbanded in 1987.
