Stone Coal White was a psychedelic funk group from Dayton, Ohio, active in the 1970s. The core members of the band included Melvin Payne, Tommy Munday, Dennis Munday, and Joe Roddrick. The group frequently featured vocals from King Solomon Prather, Robert "Dapp" Brown, and an unknown singer known as Cookieman. Due to their risqué live performances, they were sometimes billed as Stone Coal White Rated X.
