Strafe für Rebellion, later known as Strafe F.R., is a duo consisting of Bernd Kastner, born in 1957 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and Siegfried Michail Syniuga. They began their musical journey in 1979 and developed a unique style of abstract instrumental music, heavily influenced by their use of home-made instruments, found objects, and field recordings. The duo quietly dissolved in the mid-90s after releasing their album "Pianoguitar." However, they made a return in mid-2014 with a new album titled "Sulphur Spring."
