Strike is a music group formed by producers Matt Cantor and Andy Gardner after they met Victoria Newton at a recording studio. Their early work went largely unnoticed until the release of the handbag track 'U Sure Do,' which sampled "Serious." This track brought them into the public eye, reaching No. 4 in the UK Top 40 in 1995. Although they had a string of follow-up hits, none matched the success of 'U Sure Do.' Their album 'I Saw The Future' marked a more progressive development for the group, but by this time, dance music had evolved, leaving their work in the underground scene. In the early 2000s, Newton pursued a solo career, receiving significant support from Paul Van Dyk.
