Sub Sub is a Manchester-based group known for their dance floor hits in the early 1990s. The trio met in school and became regular patrons at a local club. Driven by the desire to make a record that would earn them a spot on the guest list at the famous venue, they recorded their hit and financed it with money from their mothers, eventually signing it to Ten Records. However, Ten dropped them shortly after, leading them to re-sign with a new label. In 1993, they achieved success by breaking into the UK Top 10 with the single. A couple of years later, a studio fire destroyed most of their equipment, prompting them to start anew as a different entity.
