Submotion Orchestra is a dynamic 7-piece live project based in Leeds, renowned for their deep bass-driven grooves and intricate textures that define their progressive live dubstep sound. The band consists of Ruby Wood (Vocals), Dom Howard aka Ruckspin (Production), Tommy Evans (Drums), Taz Modi (Keyboards), Simon Beddoe (Trumpet), Danny Templeman (Percussion), and Chris 'Fatty' Hargreaves (Bass). Formed in early 2009 as an experimental live project, Submotion Orchestra has quickly gained recognition as one of the most exciting up-and-coming acts. Their performances leave audiences inspired and often speechless, showcasing a mastery of complex rhythms and rootical bass, influenced by their backgrounds in live dub, funk, reggae, jazz, and grime.
