Sudeten Crèche is a sonic art project that began in 1980, initiated by its artistic director and lyricist. The project saw its first recordings in 1981 as a duo with another member contributing lyrics and vocals. The group's initial public releases were featured on the 1982 compilation EP, which they conceived. Another member was involved in 1982 but has since been omitted from recent biographies. In 1983, the lineup expanded with the addition of members on guitar and bass, and they briefly toured. That year, they recorded tracks titled "Kindergarten" and "Asylums." After a long hiatus, the group reformed in 2006 with Carlin and Warner, releasing new material and reissuing older works. Warner left the group in 2012, and in 2015, Carlin and founder Yvette Döll began recording new Sudeten Crèche material.
