Sugar Plant is a Japanese indie rock band known for their slow, mellow, and melodic music. Formed in 1993 by vocalist Chinatsu Shoyama and guitarist Shin'ichi Ogawa while they were studying at university, the band often features a changing roster of musicians, including a keyboardist and drummer. The name "Sugar Plant" is inspired by a sugar factory located in Kawasaki, Kanagawa.
