Sugarhill Gang is an early American hip hop trio initially comprised of three members, with later additions and replacements over the years. After multiple line-up changes, Big Bank Hank joined the group as a replacement. Eventually, he performed under the name the Original Sugarhill Gang alongside newer members Kent Laird (aka Pookie), Frank Zarate, and Derek Smalls, while Wonder Mike and Master Gee continued to be associated with the group. The original members, Michael Wright and Guy O'Brien, performed under the name Rapper's Delight with new member Hendogg. After years of legal disputes, Wonder Mike, Hendogg, and Master Gee are currently performing under the name Sugarhill Gang.
