Suishou No Fune, meaning "A Ship of Crystal," is a band formed in Tokyo in July 1999 by Pirako Kurenai and Kageo. Their music is characterized by the interplay of twin guitars, with Kageo establishing the foundational elements of most songs while Pirako primarily plays lead guitar, drawing inspiration from freestyle playing and often singing adlib. Their artistic sound embodies psychedelic rock, showcasing sensitivity and freedom from conventional constraints. Suishou No Fune frequently composes songs through adlib, utilizing the beauty of Japanese poetry to convey themes of spirit, light and darkness, soul, love and hatred, shamanism, life, and death, all of which resonate deeply with listeners. Their unique sound invites enjoyment of Japanese verse and their psychedelic world, even for those who do not understand the language. Suishou No Fune is truly magic music.
